CARL GUSTAFSSON
Born in 1952 and lives in Lund.
Someone recently said to me that my paintings looked "secret". It was for me a revelation of a secret that I was not aware of. When I look at what I've done so far, there is much in the claim, especially when I think of what has driven choice of subject and composing the image, a fascination with the inexplicable and "secret" that constantly surrounds us in everyday life.
In my pictures I also feel an absence, perhaps a loss?
